In October 2017, our contacts at NYCACC asked us for a favor. Much needed MAJOR renovation of the Brooklyn Shelter isolation unit was planned, and construction was about to begin. The shelter isolation unit was still housing several seriously ill dogs, who had no place to go, and were faced with a grisly demise. So, we opened up our Quarantine to accommodate them.

And lo and behold, our Bully Breed population increased several hundred percent. We figured that we were entitled to work with some really NICE dogs for a change, after the parade of frantic Eskies, unhinged Huskies, and persnickety little ankle biters that tend to dominate our Multibreed Rescue. Some of the our Bully Beloveds have been placed, but the ones above are just now available for adoption, after we have completed their vet work and training. To be sure, these are NYCACC Superstars, dogs who have completely charmed staff and volunteers with their big personalities. Many were chosen as Social Greeter dogs, and have worked the playgroups, and participated in SAFER Evaluations as Helper Dogs. And now, we hope to give them a second chance at a great future.
