WHITE SOX

In a respectful nod to my Chicago roots, I have christened the latest addition to our rescue, "White Sox," since I couldn't help but smile when I noticed the adorable white markings on his four paws that suggest the appearance of "white socks."

Soxy is a delightful little dog, and what a charmer! We suspect that Soxy is a mix of Manchester Terrier and Tweenie Dachshund which accounts for his lanky, lithe 18 pound physique. Soxy has a slightly elongated spine and muzzle that reflects his Dachshund geneaology, but you will also see a healthy dose of Manchester Terrier in his long legs and powerful stance. Soxy is brimming with the confidence and bravado the lovers of both breeds relish.
Soxy would be a wonderful addition to an active single, couple or family who enjoys the process of training an energetic pup. Only a year and a half, he is still very puppyish and has had no basic obedience work. Sox has a real "need to please" and would be the star of any formal obedience class. He would flourish in an active home where he could be properly exercised and included in vigorous walks, hikes, or runs. He loves the outdoors and would be the gleeful travel or camping companion.
Soxy has an ebullient, joyous evergy and loves everyone he meets. He will no doubt give that Disney moment at the adoption meeting, and would be a treat for older kids in an active family. Soxy would make a stupendous family dog because he doesn't play favorites and will spread the love evenly.
White Sox is in excellent health and is at his ideal weight, with a healthy appetite. He is neutered, vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper and bordatella. He is microchipped and dewormed. he has tested negative for heartworm, lyme, earlichia and anaplasmosis.
