PEANUTLil' Peanut came to our rescue from a friend of a friend! It seems that, at the age of three, Peanut was on the loose in a busy city and took refuge under a police car during a torrential thunderstorm. The Police Officer heard Peanut crying and pulled him from a puddle, soaked and shivering. After reasonable attempts were made to find Peanut's owner, Officer Friendly contacted the neighborhood groomer, who phoned one of her clients...who knew us! |
We were thrilled to step up for Peanut, and he has charmed us silly. He is a shameless flirt and bed hog! Peanut is one of those rare Chihuahuas that loves everyone and is completely fearless and lovable. He has blended in beautifully with a diverse dog pack and has extremely compatible neutral energy. He could easily join a multi-dog home and would likely be fine with cats. |
Peanut loves people, and he would do well with an active single or couple, or a family with older kids. Weighing only eight pounds, Peanut has a delicate frame, so small children might overwhelm him. He is a fantastic companion dog. He loves to travel, is small enough to travel anywhere, and will easily fit in an airline approved Sherpa bag. He is an excellent car passenger and rides beautifully. |
Peanut was likely someone's beloved pet, because he seems to be well cared for and confident. He shows no signs of abuse or neglect and has an easy going nature that would make him an appropriate choice for a novice dog owner. Although he has good manners, Peanut has had no formal obedience work, and we recommend that his adopters pursue a structured obedience course that focuses on leadership and rewards based techniques. |
Peanut is in excellent health and is vaccinated for rabies, parvo/distemper and bordatella. He is heartworm negative and is on prevention. He will be neutered before adoption. If you are interested in Peanut, please write to Denise@EskiesOnline.com for an adoption application or call Denise at 720-903-0636 for more information. |
