JADALovely Jada has just joined our rescue from a bustling animal control facility, where she had been doing her time with sweet grace. Jada was picked up as a city stray during the post Hurricane Sandy aftermath, and the Animal Control Officers reported that she was so friendly and spunky that apparently, she didn't know she'd just lived through a disaster. Only 7 months old, Jada has seen her share of hardship, and it hasn't phased her one bit. We believe her to be a petite Lab mix, perhaps blended with a bit of Whippet DNA to explain her slender, graceful physique. Jada is a stunning looking dog, with long slender legs and a well proportioned torso. She weighs a healthy 40 pounds and is full grown. |
Jada loves people and other dogs. She is a magnet for love and attention, and could easily join a multi-dog family. She would be an ideal companion for kids of all ages, but she is big enough to knock down the wobbly toddler. We have not tested her with cats, but she is so joyous and friendly, that we think savvy cat/dog adopters could easily troubleshoot any mild issues that could arise. |
As a pup, Jada does need a good deal of exercise, so she would absolutely thrive with active folks, who enjoy running, hiking or brisk walks. She loves to be part of the action, and is mild mannered enough to join in on family outings and vacations. Jada has had no formal obedience work, so adopters will need to work on the puppy basics. She has a sweet nature, is very eager to please, and responsive to leadership and positive rewards training techniques. We recommend formal obedience work to help this outstanding pup reach her full potential. |
Jada is in excellent health and will be spayed before adoption. She has been vaccinated for for rabies, parvo, distemper, bordatella, and is microchipped and de-wormed. She has tested negative for heartworm, lyme, earlichia and anaplasmosis.
