ICE

Ice is one big, beautiful boy. He is majestic in stature, weighing the perfect weight, 50 pounds, for his height. He is a grand mix of standard Eskie and a schooch of Samoyed, that gives him height and weight. Ice came to us over a year ago from an overcrowded city shelter where he had been dumped by owners and left to fend for himself in the shelter mix.

When we sprung him, he immediately impressed us as an old soul with a story to tell. In the first few days in foster care, Ice became attached to his foster dad, and lived a happy, bucolic life, until his dad's illness kicked in, now preventing him from continuing to care for Ice.

Three years old, Ice displays the typical Eskie reservations about some strangers, so we hope to place him with folks who know the breed and are adept at managing occasional tepid introductions. Otherwise, he is a total love, with great devotion to his family. Ice is a mellow guy...he loves his alone time, but then craves human companionship. When he is ready for his lovin' ...he will sing you a song and put his head on your shoulder...he is quite the charmer. Ice loves to be the center of attention and is always the life of the party...once he has approved of the party guests. Often, I have expected this dog to join into the conversation...he seems to be on the brink of speech!

Ice is a wonderful traveler. He is used to lots of car rides and is always eager to tag along on a new adventure. He would do best with a calm, assertive owner, who can implement the right mix of exercise and discipline to bring out his best behavior. Ice has not had much obedience work, but is eager to please and would make a wonderful pupil.

Ice has excellent house manners. He is house trained and crate trained. His leash work could stand some improvement. He readily comes when called, and would be an enthusiastic walking or hiking partner.

Ice is neutered, and vaccinated for rabies, parvo, and distemper. He is dewormed and microchipped, and negative for heartworm. If you are interested in Ice, please write to Denise@EskiesOnline.com or call Denise at 857-236-0075 for more information.
