CINDYWhen we met our sweetie Cindy for the first time we had to chuckle. A Min Pin named Cindy...an homage to our longtime rescue pal, who was consistently perplexed at my devotion to this spectacular breed. One hot summer day in Maine, the Original Cindy, issued the dubious nickname, "Unemployed Rat Catcher." And so, you see, I had no choice but to wrap our Cindy in a purple Mongolian Lamb boa to distance her from her plebeian origins. Indeed, the Miniature Pinscher may be destined to dabble in vermin...but, let's just say, we have other plans for our Cindy. |
Cindy is a petite girl. Weighing only seven pounds, she is slightly underweight after missing a few meals in the shelter. Cindy's owner left her in one of the most congested animal control facilities, and she somehow fell through the paperwork cracks, so her stay was longer than need be. When she was finally released to us, we were thrilled, but it took Miss Cin a couple of days to decompress. Now, Cindy has come out of her shell like gangbusters. She is an absolute delight and has charmed her foster folks. Cindy has held her own against a rambunctious dog pack and has made many canine friends. We have not tested her with cats, but think that she'd probably give chase for play only, We'd like to steer clear of small children because her petite frame is too delicate to stand up to kid play. |
We think she'd be at home with Min Pin savvy folks, who appreciate the quirks in this delightful breed, and who live a moderately active lifestyle. She is an active, high energy little girl, who is quite the climber! Cindy has a slight build, with some Manchester Terrier traits, i.e., long legs, arched spine and floppy ears, and she is blissfully uncropped. She should gain a pound or two to reach optimal weight. |
Cindy has excellent house manners and is house trained and crate trained. She will get a bit fussy if left crated too long, but for short periods, she is fine. At the age of two, her obedience work has been sadly neglected, so adopters will want to implement some discipline and structure so that she can move forward in her new life as a well mannered little Diva. We recommend formal obedience classes that combine calm, assertive leadership techniques with positive reinforcement methods. |
Cindy is in excellent health and is spayed. She has been vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, bordatella and is microchipped and de-wormed. She has tested negative for heartworm/lyme/earlichia/anaplasmosis. If you are interested in Cindy, please write to Denise@EskiesOnline.com or call Denise at 720-903-0636 for more information. |
