CHI CHInew pictures!Chi Chi is our adorable seven year old Chihuahua girl who has just lost her home. Disinterested owners dumped her in an overcrowded Animal Control facility where she was facing euthanasia. Chi Chi did not do well at the shelter -- she was shell shocked and frightened. The sounds and smells of such a dire facility can only horrify a little girl with such delicate sensibilities. |
| Now that Chi Chi has settled into her multi-dog foster home, she has relaxed and is coming out of her shell, in part thanks to a certain Min Pin, named Mystikal, whose behind has served as Chi Chi's comfort pillow. Mystikal must see Chi Chi as a kindred spirit, having come from the same shelter three years ago, and I have no doubt that she put in a good word for me as a foster mom. |  |

Chi Chi was slow to warm up, but now is as sweet and loving as can be. I suspect that her adoption will not be much of a Disney moment for the adopter, but patient, savvy, Chihuahua people are surely up to speed on the breed's tendency to be standoffish at first. Yo Quiero Taco Bell! A patient person, willing to allow Chi Chi the time to bond, will be well rewarded with love. |
| Chi Chi is a petite, seven pound beauty, who is tiny enough to travel anywhere and loves her big car rides. She has excellent house manners and enjoys the company of other laid back dogs. She has forged quite the friendship with our other Chihuahua foster dog, Benji. Chi Chi is a moderate energy dog, who would do well with a couple of leash walk per day. She loves to be in your lap, but also loves to nap in a snuggly bed. |

Chi Chi is house trained, crate trained and walks well on the leash. She is in excellent health: spayed, vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, bordatella and has been microchipped and de-wormed.
