BEAU

Oh boy, look at Beau! What a beauty is this one year old male Eskie, who has just been surrendered to us by the most dimwitted people on the planet. Beau is a victim of his own cuteness, purchased in a pet store by folks who, by their own admission, know nothing about dogs. An Eskie is probably not the best choice for a first time, know nothing, dog owner.

And so, Beau has an obvious need for socialization and obedience work. He is shaping up nicely in one of our most seasoned Eskie foster homes, complete with seasoned Eskies. Beau is developing good pack play skills, and has been responding nicely to the structure and discipline. We can see fantastic potential in this boy. In the right hands, Beau will continue to blossom. Formal obedience work should definitely be on his horizon.

Beau is a large miniature Eskie, weighing about 22 pounds, with a flat style coat, that is easy to maintain with regular brushing and good diet. He has good house manners, and is house trained and crate trained. Beau is a good traveler, but can be skittish on the road, so he should be restrained in a car harness.

Adopters should expect that Beau is still very much a puppy, although he has not displayed any puppy destructive tendencies. He is high energy, and needs a couple of brisk leash walks each day and energetic play time to siphon off his energy.

Here is our first report from his foster home:

Beau is developing into a fine puppy/dog. He is constant motion! Lots of fun to watch running around in the backyard. What a jumper and an ever so fast and quick runner. Parker does not stand a chance! Beau will definitely do well in a house setting with younger, active folks and kids in the 7-10 age range. Beau really is becoming a lot of fun.
