BAM BAM

Our Bam Bam is a stunning dog of impressive stature. This robust, 5 year old male Bullmastiff was recently found tied to a tree in a Connecticut suburb, abandoned without food or water.  The Town Animal Control Officers were hopping mad over the situation, and chomping at the bit to track down the responsible party.

We were called to help Bam Bam, because fortunately he was microchipped, and the chip tracked back to us!  We had pulled Bam Bam from NYCACC in 2015, after his young owner had been deployed to military action, and Bam Bam was surrendered to the city shelter.  After his time with us, Bam Bam was adopted by a seemingly reasonable woman, whose sketchy judgement led her to give him to a family friend, rather than return him to us, when her circumstances changed and she could no longer keep him.

And so now, we find ourselves once more as Bam Bam's Champions, attempting to find him a permanent home.  This lover boy is full of personality, and has charmed everyone he has met. He has been through a lot of trials and tribulations, and has never once shown any sign of a grumpy nature. Throughout his chaotic rescue process, Bam Bam has charmed everyone he's met. He greets strangers warmly, and seems absolutely guileless in his ability to trust, even after everything he's been through.

As a former city dweller, BamBam has adapted well to country life. It's a joy to watch him revel in the sights and sounds of nature. Birds seem to fascinate him!  He loves his leash walks and thrives outdoors.  Bam Bam would make the ideal walking or hiking companion, as he can easily keep a brisk pace, and then sprawl out for a nice post-hike nap.

As a Bullmastiff, BamBam is a relatively small dog compared to Breed Standard. He weighs in at 72 pounds of muscle, but could easily get up to 80 pounds on a healthy weight gaining diet. BamBam is fairly easy to handle, although he pulls a bit on lead.  Bam Bam has grasped a good deal of basic obedience and is an eager student. He is both treat and praise motivated, and has the potential to reach Canine Good Citizenship certification.

This magnificent dog will be a dream come true for an experienced Bully Breed lover, who has the physical strength to command a powerful dog. We'd describe BamBam as a medium plus energy dog, who requires significant daily exercise to remain calm and well behaved. As an owner surrender, BamBam came to us with good house manners and is house trained and crate trained, although we expect our adopters to troubleshoot the inevitable accidents that may occur during his transition to a new routine.

BamBam is in excellent health and has been neutered. He has been vaccinated for rabies and DHLPPC (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parvo, parainfluenza and corona virus.)  He has had the 4dx test, and is negative for heartworm, lyme, earlichia and anaplasmosis. He has been microchipped and dewormed. If you are interested in BamBam, please write to Denise@eskiesonline.com or call/text Denise at 860-908-9738 for more information.
