Our beautiful Zanotti is a robust beauty, who just lost her home. Zanotti's owners acquired her as a puppy from a friend, after his Rottie whelped an accidental litter. After 2 years, Zanotti's family was unable to take her along during their recent change of residence, and left her behind in NYCACC. Just 2 years old, Zanotti begins her transition to the rescue process.

Our first reaction to Zanotti was to fall over the moon in love with her! This spectacular girl is is a petite Rottweiler mix weighing just 50 pounds. She has the prominent Rottie head, that features a slightly elongated muzzle, in profile. Zanotti has the traditional Rottie black and tan colors, with a slight gray shimmer to her coat visible in certain light. She has natural ears and tail, and she is tall and well muscled, but not overpowering.

As a powerful breed, Zanotti needs continued positive socialization in her new lifestyle. She came from an adult home, where she was the only dog, and was not properly socialized to other dogs as a pup. Zanotti had forgotten her puppy roots, and her littermates, and had begun to regard her own species with trepidation. It has been exciting to watch Zanotti's progress as she has developed into an out going social butterfly, who loves human attention, and enjoys playtime with other dogs.

Zanotti could easily join a multi-dog home with one or two calm, well behaved dogs. She craves the love and attention that the shelter process had denied her. Zanotti absolutely loves people, and melts right into the warmest of doggie hugs. She would love to keep quiet company with her adult adopters, napping quietly by the fire and sharing a brisk evening constitutional. Zanotti has a loving, gentle spirit that feeds on positive human interaction.

It's obvious that Zanotti has been loved and cared for, and her personality is outstanding. She is a sensitive, yet outgoing girl who looks to her handler for direction. She is a fantastic candidate for obedience training, and already knows some commands. She is very eager to please and would be a standout in the Canine Good Citizen program. We encourage adopters to follow through with the CGC program and give Zanotti a life rich in diverse experiences.

Zanotti is in excellent health, and will be spayed this week. She has been vaccinated for Rabies and DHLPPC (Distemper, Hepatitus, Leptospirosis, Parvo, Parainfluenza and Coronavirus). She has had the 4dx test, and is negative for heartworm, lyme, earlichia. She has been microchipped and dewormed.
