Precious is a lovely lady, a beautiful six year old grande dame, whose owner went to live in an assisted living facility where Precious was not welcome. The woman's children did not want the responsibility of the lovely Precious, so they turned her in to a kill shelter in Northern New Jersey. Precious was rescued by the kind folks at Angel Paws Multibreed rescue who called in Heart Bandits. Denise Gareau and Audra Eckes, from the New York City chapter, drove to New Jersey to pick up Precious and her housemate, Tommy, a very aristocratic mutt! The dogs were thrilled to be free of the shelter, and excited to take a nice long car ride!
After
a short stay in Staten Island where Tommy now resides, Precious visited with
Denise for awhile in Manhattan, before making her way into foster care at Larry
and Mary Conklin's home in Hamden, Connecticut. Shortly thereafter, Precious
was adopted by Tracy Dineen-Hutchins and James Hutchins of Voluntown, Connecticut.
The Hutchins' live in a large house with a lot of acreage for Precious and her
new housemates, Angel, a young Eskie who is studying agility, and also, a five
year old Akita, who rules the roost! Precious also shares her new home with
two cats, whom she has slowly grown accustomed to! More from the Hutchins' clan
