GISMOOur Gismo is what my grandmother would call "a long, tall drink of water!" This lanky beauty is truly an agility natural and has jumped higher than any other Eskie we have ever seen! |
Gismo came to us as an "emergency" this last week. We received a call from a tearful young lady, who had fled from her fiance with Gismo in tow. She had dropped anchor at Mom's but, apparently, Mom is not a dog person. Although we do not know the details of this dire situation....it seemed unduly unfair to Gismo that he be given his walking papers at 5 pm on a Wednesday evening....and just as "convenient" for our foster mom, Diane, after a ten hour work day, to snag her kid from daycare and then launch a three hour round trip "rescue" of Gismo from this Mom's milk of human kindness. |
And so, we learned that Gismo is yet another puppy culled from the endless parade of pet store puppies, offered for sale to all comers...regardless of the stability of their situations. The good news is that we have the opportunity to turn Gismo's life around at an ideal age. |
This beautiful standard Eskie boy will delight any Eskie lover who enjoys the challenge of training a young adult dog. Anyone interested in agility or obedience trials will find Gismo to be an enthusiastic, natural performer. About a year old, he is extremely smart and quick to learn basic commands. |
Gismo has a friendly, outgoing temperament and has been a joy for his foster family so far. He is extremely kid and cat friendly, and with the right mix of exercise and discipline, will bloom into a great family dog. Also, he is beautifully house trained and crate trained. We are working on basic manners and leash walking. |
Gismo is neutered, up to date on routine shots and is heartworm negative. He is on Heartguard and Frontline. Anyone interested in Gismo should call Denise at 617-216-9483, or write Denise@EskiesOnline.com for an adoption application. |
