Our Magnificent Eve is a great beauty, who, at the age of eight, just lost her home. Eve's owners had bred her repetitively over the years, and when she became ill, they refused to provide vet care, and dropped her off at NYCACC. Eve was quickly diagnosed with life threatening, Pyometra, an infection of the uterus, which she never would have developed had she been spayed.

Eve has had life-saving spay surgery, a course of antibiotics, and has recovered fully. She has adjusted to life in foster care, and seems to have recovered her joie de vivre. Her temperament is gentle and curious, she loves everyone, and everyone loves her. She's been great with other dogs, but does not always tolerate the hostile antics of some of our small, fiesty Chihuahuas and Min Pins.

We were thrilled when Eve came out of her shell, and she has blossomed beautifully in foster care. She is beloved by everyone, and has won all of our hearts. Since she was a young pup, Eve has lived happily in a large family home with young children, but we feel that it's time for her to enjoy an adult home with patient, experienced Rottie people, who will go slowly with her, as she adjusts to yet another dramatic change.

Eve is a magnificent purebred Rottweiler, with all the classic breed characteristics that Rottie folks admire. She's obviously had a few litters, and appears slightly overweight at 110 pounds. She could easily reach 90 to 100 pounds through healthy diet and exercise. She has the quintessential Rottie chill vibe, and loves to settle down and relax with her family.

Eve could easily join a multi-dog home with one or two calm, well behaved dogs. She has a bit of a maternal vibe to her dog interactions, and she can become impatient with over-exuberant puppy type antics. Her best buddy right now is a grand male Rottweiler, Cain: the two are quite a lovely pair. Dog chemistry is important with Eve, and we'd like to see her settle in with a laid-back resident dog.

Eve craves the human love and attention that the shelter process has denied her. She absolutely loves people, and melts right into the warmest of doggie hugs. She would love to keep quiet company with her adult adopters, napping quietly by the fire and sharing a brisk evening constitutional. Eve has a loving, gentle spirit that feeds on positive human interaction.

Eve is a sensitive, mild mannered girl who looks to her handler for direction. She is a fantastic candidate for obedience training, and already knows some commands. She's very eager to please and would be a standout in the Canine Good Citizen program. We encourage adopters to follow through with the CGC program and give Eve a life rich in diverse experiences.

Eve is in excellent health, and has been spayed. She has been vaccinated for rabies and DHLPPC (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parvo, parainfluenza and coronavirus). She has had the 4dx test, and is negative for heartworm, lyme, earlichia. She has been microchipped and dewormed.
