BEBOP

Our lovely Bebop is a real heartbreaker.  This grande dame, was found as a city stray in Brooklyn, New York, and appears to be what shelter workers call a "throwaway mama," a dog that has been repetitively bred for profit and then cast aside.  Bebop had just given birth to a litter of pups, and then was tied to a tree in a public park, without food or water. Her puppies were nowhere to be found.  Animal Control Officers brought Bebop to NYCACC, where she was treated for dehydration and malnutrition.  Sadly, she was quick to catch the shelter virus cocktail, and we were asked to take her to our rescue to restore her health and vitality.

Clearly our Bebop has seen some tough times in her young three years. She was still lactating when she arrived at our Rescue, and has mammary development consistent with having produced several litters of young uns'. Now she has been spayed, and she's ready to live her life in the lap of luxury with folks who will spoil her rotten!

Bebop has one of the most lovely, gentle Bully Breed temperaments that we have ever seen. She appears to be a gray and white Staffordshire Terrier, and expresses all the characteristic panache that we expect from this lovable breed. Bebop has a bit of whimsy about her. She could join any kind of home, fits in anywhere, and has easily adapted to our wild and crazy foster home.  Bebop has great pack manners: she gets along with all kinds of other dogs, even ones that try her patience. We surmise that she may even be good with cats.

Bebop's "mothering" days may be over, but she has alot of life and love to share with an openhearted family.  Her energy level is moderate, and she doesn't require the excessive amounts of energy that most Bullies do. She is extremely gentle, and walks well on lead. She doesn't jump up on folks, and is very gentle with older children. Bebop is happy to relax with her person, and this makes her a good choice for laid back folks, seniors, apartment dwellers, or first time Bully owners.

Bebop is extremely food motivated, and an excellent candidate for positive reinforcement obedience training. She loves her obedience workouts, and his mastered all of her commands. While she is an excellent student, Bebop is not above throwing herself at the ground, and begging for belly rubs right in the middle of a training session.  Bebop loves people and constantly craves human attention.

Bebop has good house manners and is house trained and crate trained.  Adopters should expect to troubleshoot the occasional accident that will inevitably occur during her transition to a new home.  She is in excellent health, and is at an ideal lean body weight of 54 pounds.  Bebop has a few food and environmental allergies that are managed with special diet and a daily pill.  All symptoms have been resolved with this very simple regimen.

Bebop is spayed, and has been vaccinated for Rabies, DHLPPC (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis parvo, parainfluenza and coronavirus), and canine flu. She has been boostered as needed. She has had the 4dx test, and is negative for heartworm, lyme, earlichia and anaplasmosis. She has been dewormed, and microchipped.  If you are interested in Bebop, please write to Denise@eskiesonline.com or call/text Denise at 860-908-9738 for more info.
